Simple Time Management Tips
Here are a few simple tips to help get your life and time organized. Each of these tips can be expounded on at great length, and I may take some time in the future to do just that. In the meantime, glance over these time and life management tips and implement some or all of them into your life to see how things improve for you.
- Find something to enjoy in whatever you do.
- Try looking at the glass half full instead of half empty.
- Find ways to build on your successes.
- Don’t live in regret. You can’t change the past. Don’t focus on your failures, but do learn from your mistakes.
- Focus on the important things in your life.
- Examine your old habits that are not productive and search for ways to change or eliminate them.
- Try to use waiting time productively.
- Keep paper or a calendar with you to jot down the things you have to do or make notes to yourself.
- Set aside some time to establish some goals for your life and how to achieve them.
- Set some long term and short term goals.
- Plan your day each morning or the night before and set priorities for yourself. Don’t just let the day happen and take whatever comes along. Be purposeful about your day.
- Maintain and develop a list of specific things to be done each day, set your priorities and the get the most important ones done as soon in the day as you can. Evaluate your progress at the end of the day briefly.
- Look ahead in your month and try and anticipate what is going to happen so you can better schedule your time.
- When you catch yourself procrastinating-ask yourself, “What am I avoiding?”
- Start with the most difficult parts of projects, then either the worst is done or you may find you don’t have to do all the other small tasks.
- Catch yourself when you are involved in unproductive projects and stop as soon as you can.
- Be persistent. Don’t give up when the going gets tough.
- Seek out and ask for advice from someone when needed.

These are great tips. I especially like #1. If all we do is try to pack more and more into our day without enjoying any of it, our lives can become pretty grim.

Your tip #15 is very useful and I have implemented that already. I think there is nothing better than a decision not to do something which we can’t.
Number one in my opinion is extremly useful becaus you can only be good at something that your enjoy.
These are great tips. I used to be very disorganized and it made running my business hard. I quickly learned to be more organized when I was in the line of fire so to speak.

I consistently find myself pressed for time, and I always leave things till the last minute so I am extremely stressed before an assignment is due or before an exam. Is there any good ways to develop better time management skills.
I have always been a list maker. If I just do everything on my list I get free time, and I find that when I make lists I have more time to do what I want.
Some people, like yourself, do very well making lists. Others get more bogged down making lists for a variety of reasons. We all have different ways of getting ourselves organized, but each person needs to do whatever works best for him or her.
It is a perfect list! I do some of the list but I still fail to do the others. I will keep on trying all of them.
Organization is the key to success for many role models and leaders. Especially # 6 to examine what you have been doing and make changes when you need to.

Does he have Excel? If so, I can send you my budget worksheet. It’s very simple and easy to use. It has the monthly and annual budgets on one page. It’s easy to update as new info comes available, and you can add/delete rows as needed.
Time management is the most essential thing in life.if we can’t manage time then we cant be sucessful in any thing.

Here’s what I did on my time management get a piece of paper draw a line in the center then on the right side list the the important things that will help you achieve your goal(and will make you more productive) then on the left side list the less important things that you do in order tho achieve your goal. Then compare it and make a time table you will notice that the right side of the list is lesser than the left side.
I agree with you. A successful time management largely depends on how you are enjoying the work. It should be done accordingly. In order to do that, you have to be self organized.
